Sharon Williford Wood, 61, of Barboursville, died on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Born on August 25, 1959, in Freeport, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Obern Lamar Williford and Carolyn Pichoff Williford. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeremy.
Mrs. Wood was a long-time member of New Beginnings Pentecostal Holiness Church and she was a twenty- year member of the Gordonsville Hunt Club.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Phillip Wood Barboursville, six children, one brother, two sisters, 11 grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held at 1p.m. on Saturday May 15, 2021, at Pentecostal Church in Barboursville with Pastor Shawn Edwards officiating.
