Ernest Earl McDade Jr., 88, of Leggett, Texas passed away peacefully Friday, January 8, 2021 at his home.

Mass services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Livingston, Texas. Burial will follow at Jones Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2021 with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Ernest was born July 1, 1932 in Lindale, Texas. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and telling a good joke. He was loved as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Francis McDade; sisters, Maxine and Betty Jean and brother, John McDade.

Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Hope McDade; sons, Jack McDade and wife Carolyn, John McDade and wife Helen; daughters, Julie McDade and Janet McDade; granddaughters, Christy Westbrook and husband Justin, Candice McDade, Barbara Mathews and husband Nathan and Ashley McDade; great grandchildren, Jazmine McDade, Mikayla Washington, Addison, Cadence and Finely Mathews and his sister, Virginia Humphries.
