I served in the armed forces.
Gerald William Rush, born February 13, 1939 in Massillon, Ohio, passed away on August 20, 2020 in Houston, Texas at the age of 81 years.

He is survived by his wife Opal Rush; children of Mary Elizabeth Rush, Paul Rush & wife Janet, Barbara Rush; stepchildren, Scott Hoffman & wife Renee, DeAnn Neal; brother, Kenneth Snyder; niece, Stephanie Lohr; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald & Anna Rush; brothers, Raymond Rush, Andy Lohr.

He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam and an avid Massillion Tiger Fan.

A Celebration of Gerald's Life will be held at 11:00 AM at Church on the Lake with Pastor Mike Hooper officiating.

Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post 8568.

I hope that our conversations gave you some peace and comfort as it did for us. We love you so much and wanted to let you know that we truly appreciate all of the sacrifices that you made for us when we were young in order to provide all of the opportunities that we had which helped us become who we are today.
