He is survived by his former wife, Patty Barns Staggs; children, Deirdra Warren & husband Jason Fields, Donald Darby & wife Amanda, Christina Chamberlain & husband Bill, Tammy Darby Morgan; brothers, David Darby Sr. & wife Wendy, Ernie Darby & wife Mary Anne; sister, Rhonda Darby Ward; fourteen grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis & Bethal Darby; brother, Curtis Darby.
