He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debra Westerman; daughter, Michelle Butler & husband Donald Galbraith; brother, Tommy Westerman & wife Sandria; sister, Nina Jahnke & husband Harry; grandchildren, Damian Butler, Zachary Galbraith and Michael King; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Rodney Aswell.
He is a Veteran having served in the United States Army during Vietnam War.

Mahnomen, MN Saturday, September 24, 2022 My Mom was a teacher in Mahnomen, MN and one summer, she took classes at Bemidji State University and apparently Floyd Westerman was a guest performer that summer. She bought his album and we listened to it almost non-stop! She passed in September 2020, but I have found myself listening to it again quite regularly and really appreciate the messages he communicated through his music!
