John P. Pickett, Jr. was born on November 12, 1950, to John P. Pickett Sr. and Edna Salassi White, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He passed from this life on August 29, 2026, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 75.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Janet Pickett; sons, John Pickett & wife DeAnne, Jesse Pickett & wife Anndrea, Jody Pickett, Doug Pickett & wife Shelly, Clint Pickett & husband Jeff Hellner; daughters, Lisa Pickett & husband Rudy De La Cerda, Angela Bazan & husband Nathan; sister, Thersa Ezell; grandchildren Jessie Jean Ishee, Courtney Pickett, Cody Pickett, Britney Pickett, Emily Pickett, Jaxon Pickett, Addison McGaha, Camerson McGaha, and Seven bonus grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; as well as many other loved ones and a host of friends.

John is preceded in death by his father, John P. Pickett Sr.; mother and step- father, Edna and Thomas White; sisters, Susie Elledge and Judy Roberson.

A visitation for John will be held on, Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 10:00 am with a Celebration of John's life to be begin at 12:00 pm, at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas, with Brother Mike Loftin Officiating.
