He is survived by his wife Cheryl Brown; mother, Faye Higgins; children, Patrick Brown, Allison Brown, Ashley Brown, Jessica Franco, Justin Luna, Mindy Hernandez; brothers, Daniel Simons, Cody Simmons; eight grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

James is preceded in death by his father, Robert Eugine Simons.
