Walter Alvan Cowart
January 25, 1938 - December 17, 2019

After a long battle with illness, Walter Alvan Cowart, born January 25, 1938 in Mourningsport, Louisiana passed away on Dec 17, 2019 at the age of 81.

Alvan was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in July of 1971. He loved serving with his spiritual brothers and sisters at the Livingston congregation. He often talked about a paradise where his pain and sickness will be no more. He looked forward to being healthy again and truly enjoying the real life.
Alvan is survived by his wife Mary Cowart, children; Steve Cowart and wife Jenny, Stan Cowart and wife Melissa, Sheryl Fischer and Husband Elmar. Grandchildren; Keith Schauer, Bryttany Perez and husband Caesar, Don'l Williams and wife Anna, Shelby Cowart, Michaella Cowart, Jaymon Cowart, Marlo Fischer, Nicholas Shelby and wife Courtney, Adam Shelby, Johnny Shelby. Nine great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Pearl Cowart, his sister Juanine Gore, and his Brother Carl Evan Cowart.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 28th 2019 at 1:30 pm
