Pearl Watson Reeder, born December 5, 1941 in Bailey County, Texas to Hattie and Thelton Watson, peacefully passed away on May 12, 2018 in Livingston, Texas at the age of 76.
Pearls surviving family includes mother, Hattie Watson; daughters Terry Whiteside and Troy Doolan, Vicky Higginbotham and husband Bob of Oklahoma, and Dana Harris of Porter, Texas; daughter-n-law, Debbie Blackmon of Porter, Texas; brother, Kelly Watson and wife Cathy; sister Janice McMichael and husband Billy of Jacksonville, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 31 greats grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, and best friend Becky Schomer.
She is preceded in death by her father, Thelton Watson, brothers WL and Benny Watson, sister Ruth O’neil, and son Randall Blackmon.
Pearl moved to Livingston, Texas in 1961 to help her mother operate a family owned restaurant called Hatties Truckstop. She worked there until her mother retired in 2001 then became employed at Holiday Inn Express until she retired in 2014. After retirement she enjoyed playing bingo and slots, visiting with her mother at the nursing home, attending family gatherings, and her weekly lunch dates with her best friend.
Pearl was an honest, hardworking, loving mother and grandmother. She always took joy in getting the grandkids first outfit to wear home and their first tricycle when they turned 2. She loved interacting with customers in the restaurant and guest at the hotel.
Visitation will be held at Pace Funeral home from 6 PM to 8 PM Monday, May, 14 2018.
A Celebration of Pearls life will begin at 10 AM Tuesday, May, 15 2018 also at Pace Funeral Home with Chaplin Jack M. Redfearun Jr.
Interment to fallow at Bold Springs Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.
