Lawrence L. Woods born on November 2, 1932 in Joquin, Texas to Lee Woods and Minnie Sarah Coyle Woods, passed away on October 22, 2014 at the age of 81. Those left to cherish his memory are brothers, Billy G. Thrasher wife Donna R., Gene Woods wife Bobbie, Marvin Woods wife GayNell numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Lawrence was preceded in death by both his parents wife, Thelma Woods two sisters one brother. Lawrence proudly served in the United States Army. Having served in the Korean War, Lawrence received 6 bronze stars. After retiring from the Army, he worked for Brown Root where he also retired. Lawrence worked on the Dredge A. McKinsey for the Corp. of Engineer. Lawrence will be missed dearly by his family. A visitation will be held at Pace Funeral Home 200 FM 350 North Livingston, Texas on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Fellowship Cemetery on CR 1600 off of FM 1943 out of Warren, Texas beginning at 1:00 P.M.
