Mitchell Dean McSwain, 55, beloved husband, father, son, brother, Papa Mitch and uncle, of Livingston, Texas passed away on July 5th, 2014. Born in Houston, Texas, he attended schools in North Shore on the east side of Houston and graduated from Texas AM University in 1982 with a degree in Business Administration. He later served in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and worked at the US Naval Hospital in Pensacola. Mitch was employed with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation for the past 18 years and was Sr. Field Foreman at the Woodville, Texas location at the time of his passing. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved riding his Harley. Those left to cherish Mitchs memory are his devoted wife, Mary Wooldridge McSwain sons, Matthew McSwain of Fort Worth, Texas, Ryan Wallander and wife Brandy of Wichita Falls, Texas, Andrew Wallander and wife Emily of Wichita Falls, Texas and Buck Wallander of San Francisco, CA daughter, Erin Vierus and husband Nicholas of Conroe, Texas parents, Rex and Veronica McSwain of Austonio, Texas brothers, Rex Jr. and wife Janeen of Montgomery, Texas , Justin and wife, Cathy, of Austonio, Texas. He was dearly loved by family, friends and coworkers, and their visits in his last weeks meant the world to him. Mitch will be remembered for his great sense of humor, concern for others, faith in God, and love of family. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Pace Funeral Home, 200 FM 350 North Livingston, Texas. A Celebration of Mitchs Life will start at 10:00 A.M. with Brother, Rex McSwain Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be Matthew McSwain, Tom Sawyer, Mark Tumbleson, Ryan Wallander, Buck Wallander and Andrew Wallander. Honorary Pallbearers are Justin McSwain, David Hinson and Nicholas Vierus and Sam Stevens. A graveside service will be held at 2:15 P.M. on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas at with Military Honors.
