Walter Wilkerson was born on October 27, 1935 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Walter Wilkerson and Odie Walters. Passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the age of 76 years. Walter loved farming, being outside with animals, always helping people and loved children. He is survived by his son, Donald Wilkerson Sr.; grandchildren, Donny Wilkerson Jr., Brandy Smith and husband Demetrius, Jennie Owens and husband Micheal; great grandchildren, Cristopher Jones, Nathaniel Smith, Jonah Wilkerson, Caleb Smith, Chasitie Langley, Jadyn Langley, Cadyn Langley, and Chloe Langley; Preceded in death by both parents. A Celebration of Walter’s life will begin at 11AM Friday, July 13, 2012 at Big Sandy Cemetery in Dallardsville, Texas. Pastor Bob Laird will be officiating.
