Margreat Beatrice Layne, 99, of Onalaska, died Thursday July 7, 2011, in Corrigan with family by her side.
She was born January 24, 1912 in Kemp, Texas, the daughter of late Eva Clamon and Homer Corzine of Hortense. She was the oldest of 3 siblings. She raised her sister after the untimely passing of their mother in 1928. Margaret married Harold Layne and they called Onalaska home. They shared their love of fishing and spent many years on the banks of Lake Livingston.
She is survived by her sister, Zuma Pat Windham son, Earl Hilton grandchildren, Edward Earl, David and Donnie Hilton greatgrandchildren, Lila and husband Steve Ceaser, Paula Waller, Wendy and husband Donnie Hilton, Consandra Bates, Mark and Matthew Hilton niece, Nicole Windham and husband Charles Dobber Beverly Jr. and many greatgreatgrandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, inlaws and friends.
Ms. Layne was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Layne brother Mike Corzine daughter inlaw Sandra Hilton grandson Jackie Ray Hilton and granddaughter Samantha Hilton.
Services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Brother Harold Isaacs officiating. Pallbearers were Ray Clamon, Ed Hilton,, Mark Hilton, Matthew Hilton, David Hilton, Mark Jones and Charles Beverly, Jr. Burial will take place at Feagin Cemetery in Hortense,Texas.
